Adams Ranch Sharp Shooter - AKA "Rogue"

AKC #: DN32585705    DOB: 12/1/2011

Rogue is quite the celebrity.  He has appeared twice on the David Letterman show and has auditioned for a few TV commercials.

Rogue was the fifth puppy born in the litter between Sydni and Boss.  We should have known that he was going to be a special puppy.  He was born at the vet's office about 4 hours after the rest of the litter, because Sydni's contractions stopped and she didn't seem like she was going to be able to whelp this puppy.  When we went to the vet, we fully expected that they would be doing a c-section on her and we would have a dead puppy delivered.

The vet asked us to leave Sydni there and they would call us when she could come home.  We live about 1/2 hour away from there as this was an "after hours" vet we have used in the past, but not our regular vet...  We had been home about 10 minutes and we received a call from the vet's office saying we could pick Sydni and her puppy up.  We were elated, to say the least...

We drove back to pick them up and brought them home.  Rogue was the last puppy chosen from the litter.  When I received the call about him, the prospective buyer was concerned that he would be the "right puppy" for what she was looking for.  She was not interested in Conformation, Herding, Agility, etc., so I wasn't quite sure what she was looking for.

When Linda came up to meet Puppy #5 for the first time, she brought toys to see how he interacted with them.  These were not "conventional" puppy toys however.  She brought a skateboard with a handle, a child's car, as well as a toy ball.  I was amazed at how Linda was able to work with this somewhat reserved puppy and interact with him to get him to ride on these large toys.

When Rogue when home with Linda at the end of January 2012 (at 8 weeks of age), I knew that this was going to be a special home for him.  I immediately began getting update about how he was growing and the new things he was learning.  I really enjoy getting updates about the dogs I have bred.  One of the first emails included a link to Linda's You-Tube page.  She filmed her first video of her new puppy...

Her home page for all her videos is Fun with Pup and Jane.  You can also locate her by searching for "ilovejannelle".
